Why replace your pollen filter

The pollen filter or cabin filter is an integral part of your vehicle's HVAC (heating, ventilation and cooling) system and it's often overlooked as a relateively expensive waste of money.

It could be argued that there is a case to think that, however it's not just cleaner, dust free air that you're paying for. The pollet filter helps to keep the ventilation system and very importantly the interior fan clean.

If the pollen filter is clogged or blocked, it can very often mean that the fan has to work extra hard to get the interior temperature where you want it. This really does cause very expensive fan failure, particularly in models from 2005 onwards (Golf MK5 / 6 / 7 etc)
